We love making positive changes to our client’s home. Kitchens are often the most used and abused room in the home. It’s no wonder kitchen remodels often get prioritized first. For this galley kitchen remodeling job in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Alliance Group removed all the existing materials. It’s great to begin the job with a clean slate.
Renovating a Galley Kitchen
Designing a cabinet layout for a galley kitchen can be challenging because oftentimes there is limited space. Once you factor in other important elements to a kitchen remodel such as a refrigerator, stove, and sink (a configuration also known as the kitchen triangle) the space left for the cabinetry can be limited depending on the size of the kitchen. That’s why it’s important to work with a knowledgeable contractor experienced in home remodels that will consider design details and know how to avoid costly mistakes and awkward layouts.
After Kitchen Remodeling
The clients wanted a streamlined space with better storage, all new fixtures, finishes, and lighting. We used Toscana cabinets from Adornus because shaker cabinet doors with contemporary stainless steel handles provided clean lines to their design. The Toscana style features a soft walnut color on alder wood, 5-piece solid wood doors. Standard features of Adornus cabinets are frameless (full-access) plywood boxes, dovetail drawers, soft close hinges and drawers, adjustable shelves, and formaldehyde free plywood and varnish.
We installed new vinyl flooring and granite countertops. Vinyl flooring can be resilient and offer some degree of cushion for those standing at the kitchen. The kitchen backsplash tile was carried over to the adjacent wall from floor to ceiling to unify the look. Overall, material colors maintained a neutral palette. This allows the homeowner to decorate the space with flexibility.
